Stouffville has a new alternative healing sanctuary.
Healing Touch Therapies, which held their grand opening on Jan. 20, offers a variety of spa and alternative healing services including reflexology, Reiki, Indian head massages, hand and foot massages, hot stone massages and chair massages.
Energy healer and owner Michele Lopaschuk said she was inspired to start her new business after re-examining her life and closing a healing crystal company she owned with her children.
She said she received her certifications and opened Healing Touch Therapies in an effort to help others in their healing process as she was on her own healing journey.
During the grand opening celebrations, Lopaschuk offered visitors free Indian head massages.
She said the massages have been proven to tap into the seven “chakras” or paths of energy to encourage healing and balance in the whole body.
Along with the therapies, the centre also offers healing crystals and organic coffee.
Lopaschuk is currently a facilities manager at a bank, and is certified in chair massage, hot stone massage, Indian head massage, reflexology and as a Reiki healer.
